On September 3, the Golden Hall of the Odesa Literary Museum will host the presentation of the 100th anniversary issue of the almanac of the Worldwide Club of Odesites. The event will feature the history of the publication, a tribute to its creators and authors, and an awards ceremony for the winners of the international literary competition “Odessiada.”
On September 2, Odesa City Day, the name of Yevhen Holubovskyi will be added to the Alley of Stars. Vice President of the Worldwide Club of Odesites, Honorary Citizen of Odesa, journalist, writer, and devoted guardian of the city’s cultural memory, he spent decades bringing together Odesa’s writers, poets, artists, and everyone who shared his love of books and the city.
The “Odesa Calendar” launches a new series, “Multicultural City,” dedicated to the peoples who have shaped and continue to shape Odesa. The first edition explores the history of the Greek community — from the ancient settlement of Isthrian Harbour and the city’s Greek heritage to prominent Odesites, architecture, education, and contemporary cultural life.
