The “Odesa Calendar” Collection
Our publications are journeys through the history of Odesa — its streets, buildings, people, and cultures. We collect what often remains beyond the scope of conventional guidebooks: archival documents, rare photographs, firsthand accounts, and stories of both renowned and undeservedly forgotten Odesites.
A special place in our publishing work is given to projects dedicated to the city’s historic center. Every street, building, and neighborhood becomes an opportunity to look deeper — to discover the people and events behind the architecture that have shaped Odesa over the centuries.
We work together with historians, local history researchers, scholars, collectors, museums, libraries, and cultural institutions. This allows our publications to bring together academic research and unique sources, many of which are being made available to a wider audience for the first time.
One of our important areas of focus is the study of multicultural Odesa. The city was shaped by people of different nationalities and cultures, who left their mark on its architecture, commerce, science, education, arts, and civic life. We strive to present this history as a whole — through the lives of individuals and the heritage of communities that together created the unique character of the city.
Our books and calendars are more than informational publications. They are visual and historical collections that invite you to return to them, preserve them in a family library, and give them as gifts to those who love Odesa and are interested in its past.
We continue to collect, research, and rediscover Odesa — preserving its memory in books, photographs, documents, and stories for future generations.
