WCO Membership
Introduction
Membership in the WCO is the next step after registration in the Worldwide Odesa Registry. A registered Odesan already has their Odesa Passport, but is not yet a member of the Organization. Membership provides voting rights, privileges, and the opportunity to actively participate in the life of the Club.
The principle of the open funnel is simple. Anyone can register as an Odesan free of charge and then gradually increase their level of participation, from a registered Odesan to an Associate (individual), Associate (legal entity), Active (individual), Active (legal entity), partner, or patron.
Who Can Become a Member
WCO members may be individuals aged 18 and over, as well as private-law legal entities, including public associations with legal-entity status. Membership is voluntary and individual.
Membership Categories
Associate (individual)
A person who shares the values of the Odesa Charter, wishes to support the Club’s activities, and participate in its events. No recommendations are required for admission. Does not have voting rights at the Assembly.
Associate (legal entity)
A legal entity that supports the WCO mission and wishes to be part of its ecosystem. Membership is exercised through an authorized representative. No recommendations are required for admission. Does not have voting rights at the Assembly.
Active (individual)
A person who actively participates in WCO activities, projects, and events. Has exclusive voting rights at the Assembly. Admission requires written recommendations from two Active members of the Organization. Admission is granted by decision of the Presidential Council.
Active (legal entity)
A legal entity that actively participates in implementing the strategic objectives of the WCO. Has voting rights at the Assembly through an authorized representative. Admission requires recommendations from two Active members.

Currency of choice: USD, EUR, or UAH at the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of payment. Payment is available through the official odesa.club website, LiqPay for Ukraine, Stripe for international payments, or by bank transfer using the provided bank details. Automatic subscription renewal may be available.
What an Associate Member Receives
- Participation in all events and projects of the Organization
- Submission of proposals for the Assembly agenda
- Attendance at Assembly meetings with the right to speak, but without voting rights
- Organization’s paid services on preferential terms, with a 15 percent discount
- 15 percent discount at the WCO store
- Electronic membership ID in PDF format with a QR code
- Access to restricted content on the website, the archive, and the knowledge base
- The newspaper “Worldwide Odesa News” in electronic format
- Consultations and assistance from WCO governing bodies
What an Active Member Receives in Addition to Associate Rights
- Exclusive voting rights at the Assembly
- A paper membership ID signed by the President, bilingual in Ukrainian and English
- VIP access to Odesa Forum and key WCO events
- Free subscription to the “Deribasovskaya–Richelieu” almanac, in print or digital format
- Recognition in the WCO annual report
- The right to nominate candidates for the title of “Honorary Odesan”
- 25 percent discount at the WCO store
- Priority registration for limited-capacity events
- The right to recommend candidates for new Active members
- The right to elect and be elected to the Presidential Council and other WCO governing bodies
- The right to nominate candidates for positions within the Organization
Member Responsibilities
- Compliance with the Charter and the Membership Regulations
- Compliance with decisions of the Organization’s governing bodies
- Timely payment of entrance and membership fees
- Active support of the WCO’s statutory objectives
- Participation in the Organization’s events and projects
How to Become a Member
