On July 30, the World Club of Odesites hosted a special concert — “About Love… and Not Only,” which became a true gathering of friends, like-minded people, and those who share a love for music and poetry.
In the cozy coolness of the lounge on the lower floor of the WCO, there was a wonderful atmosphere of creativity, beauty, and inspiration. Songs were performed in Ukrainian, Georgian, English, Spanish, and French, and every performance found a heartfelt response in the audience.
The project’s creator and host of the evening, Alla Kochiashvili, a solo singing teacher at Odesa School of Arts No. 13, brought together on one stage her students, graduates from different years, and friends for whom music and poetry have become an important part of life. The concert featured Lolita Moshchenko, Yanina Karatieieva, Anastasiia Paierelieva, Dariia Sheshulkova, Olena Holubova, Liubov Vodzynska, Yuliia Makovieenko, Valeriia Artemovych, and Anastasiia Ternavska.
A special gift for the guests were the poetry performances by Halyna Verd, Viktoriia Serdiuk (Laniakeia), and Alla Kochiashvili herself. Two of Alla’s original poems were performed with such sincerity and emotion that tears appeared in the eyes of many listeners.
It is also worth noting that one of the songs performed by Alla has already received its own music video. You can watch the video and learn more about its creation here: https://youtu.be/RVM3FqHySZE?si=SGNLutI7Mis8oltj.
The hall was packed. That evening, the Club welcomed members of the World Club of Odesites, friends, colleagues, students, and numerous admirers of the concert participants’ work. The emotions were so vivid that it seemed as if even the black-and-white photographs from Anna Koreneva’s photo project on the walls had come to life and begun to shine with new colors.
Watching the talented and charming performers both on stage and in the audience, Ivan Liptuga, President of the World Club of Odesites, remarked with a smile: “This is a real Miss Odesa contest!” And indeed, that evening, beauty, talent, sincerity, and a love of art were the true protagonists of the gathering.
We thank Alla Kochiashvili and all the concert participants for this wonderful celebration of music, poetry, and human warmth. Evenings like this remind us once again that art brings people together, inspires, gives hope, and stays with us for a long time.
